I’m Asianique Savage, a Black woman from Portland, Oregon, and the creator of Help Solve a Murder. This project is deeply personal—rooted in the pain of losing both my mother and brother to gun violence. But it’s also a call to action, a way for me to turn my grief into something bigger that can spark change. I’m also the Director of Gun Violence Prevention at the Alliance for a Safe Oregon, working tirelessly to end gun violence and advocate for safer communities. I am also the Co-Founder & CEO of Senseless Violence Leads to Silence a 501(c)(3)non-profit, community-based organization whose mission is to work with the victims, the community, and the family members of those impacted by violent crimes. Senseless Violence Leads to Silence provides the much needed long term support to victims, schools and the community through advocacy , mentoring, mental & social health services. Developing community involvement activities/opportunities that draw attention to the harsh reality and impacts of violence and the remedies that are required to overcome the lingering effects of such crimes.

But this project is not just mine—it’s a collective effort of powerful storytellers and activists who are committed to elevating the voices of those who have been silenced for far too long. That’s why I’ve brought on Gal Pal, a creative storytelling company dedicated to raising up voices often unseen and unheard. Gal Pal is directing and producing Help Solve A Murder, and their involvement in this project is a natural extension of their mission. With many years of award-winning creative storytelling experience, they have an established track record of producing projects that don’t just entertain but make a real social impact. Their advocacy for marginalized voices, especially those affected by violence, makes them the perfect partner to help bring this powerful story to life. Together, our team is united by a shared commitment to justice, community healing, and creating space for those whose voices have too often been overlooked in the conversation about gun violence. We’re not just telling stories—we’re demanding that the world listen and take action.
